Swedish Shipowners´ Association publish calendar for better working environment

The Swedish Shipowners´ Association Equal treatment group and reference group with onboard employees have produced a calendar with inspiration for increased well-being and a better working environment. The calendar is available digitally in both Swedish and English. The calendar is also sent to those of the Association´s members who wish to have the calendar at their organization.

– The purpose of the calendar is to provide tips and ideas on how to create a good work environment and improve well-being in the workplace. Several of the activities are specially adapted for the onboard staff who often spend both their free time and work together, but hopefully all our members can use the calendar to get inspiration and adapt the activities for their own workplace. In the calendar, we give suggestions for discussion exercises, suggestions for activities you can do together and also things you can do yourself to increase well-being for both others and yourself, says Ragnar Johansson, chairman of the Swedish Shipowners´Association Equal Treatment group.

Ragnar Johansson believes that this is important work and the Swedish Shipowners´Association will in future, among other things, participate in the research project REDO 2.0, which is led by the Swedish research institute RISE.

– Within the Association, we continue to work with these issues. During the spring, we will arrange two member workshops and we are also involved in the research project REDO 2.0 where we hope to be able to develop methods to create as good a work environment as possible, says Ragnar Johansson.
